About the role
You will own the pipeline that feeds every half-hourly meter reading, DataShooter settlement, and GSC signal into the warehouse. Trading, product, and the sustainability team all depend on what you ship, soreliability, cost, and query performance all matter. We want someone who enjoys making data systems fast and boring.
What you'll do
- Design and operate the ingestion pipelines for half-hourly meter data and wholesale market feeds
- Own the time-series warehouse (currently Postgres + TimescaleDB; open to evolution)
- Build the analyst-facing layer, dbt, views, documentation
- Triage and resolve data-quality issues before clients notice them
What we look for
- 5+ years building production data platforms
- Strong SQL + Python + one of: Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or equivalent
- Experience with time-series or IoT-scale ingestion at ≥1M rows/day
- Can measure and explain a cost per query when asked
