Good Taste Bakery Case Study
Good Taste Bakery saves £67,625 on energy bills with Purely Energy
- 2 min read

About Good Taste Bakery Good Taste Bakery is an independent bakery that specialises in good-tasting food. From opening up their first store in 1995 they have now expanded, having multiple sites across Hampshire, Surrey, and Berkshire. All their products are handmade by experienced bakers and patisserie chefs.

Our Approach
Dean and Debbie, who own the bakeries, were struggling with high energy bills. A customer referred Dean to us, and we found they’d been working with a broker who wasn’t offering competitive rates, so Dean was cautious at first.
After negotiating with our suppliers, we offered much lower rates, and Dean confirmed they were the best compared with other brokers and suppliers.
Now, whenever they open a new site, they contact us to secure the most competitive rates, and we also handle their change of tenancy, ensuring a smooth, stress-free switch to their new supplier.

The Results
When we first got in touch, they were paying £150,000 in energy bills across all their sites. We managed to secure them a new contract totalling £82,375.
That’s tens of thousands of pounds they can now reinvest back into their growing business.
A total annual saving of £67,625.
